Simon Morgan, CEO and Simon Welling, Managing Director, attended the event to represent EODEX as a finalist.
The Sustainable Development Award, sponsored by Hitachi Energy was a strong category with EODEX up against SSE Renewables, SMEEF and Hagshaw Energy Cluster Development Framework.
EODEX entered the awards on the back of the outstanding success of the Moray West project which saw over 80 marine UXO’s safely disposed of using our cutting-edge environmentally friendly low order deflagration method. The project spanned from January- September 2023 and the wind farm site was made safe for the next stage of construction. Of significant note was the successful clearance of a 2,200lb LMB aluminium cased influence Sea Mine which evidence suggests was the first instance of such a device being cleared commercially using low order deflagration.
This is the first time EODEX have attended this event after a successful application, which was held at the EICC on the 30th November.
The night saw Hagshaw Energy Cluster Development Framework named as the winners in the Sustainable Development category, in which we send our congratulations to them and commiserations to the other nominees. There were also 14 other winners named from various categories. EODEX thoroughly enjoyed the evening and we look forward to hopefully having this opportunity again.
